ECOWEEK is an international non-governmental organization (NGO). Its mission is to raise public environmental awareness and involvement of the public and especially young people, in environmental protection and the adoption of simple daily habits like household waste recycling, organic waste composting, energy conservation and 'green' building and to undertake activities and initiatives that promote the principles of Worth-Living Integrated Development. ECOWEEK was established on the island of Aegina, Greece in 2005, and is active today in Greece, Cyrpus and other countries.
